ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE UEFA EUROPA CUP 2017 FINAL


MANCHESTER UNITED vs AJAX EUROPA CUP FINAL


Manchester United will take on Ajax in the Europa League Final after both sides emerged from their respective semi-finals qualification victory over Celta Vigo and Olympique Lyon.

The final match will give England side Manchester United a rare chance to add a new trophy to their cabinet and maybe more importantly, a qualify for the Champions League in the process.

The Europa League final will be played on Wednesday 24th May 2017 and will kick off at 7:45pm.

The Game will be played at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The stadium is home to both Seden's national team and the Swedish club AIK Stockholm - it has a 50,000 capacity.

There are 37,000 tickets available to fans of both clubs and the general public out of 48,000 in total. The two finalists receive around 10,000 each and the general public are entitled to purchase 17,000. The remainder will most likely to be given to sponsors.


HOW DO ERUOPA LEAGUE WINNERS QUALIFY FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?

The winner will claim an additional spot from their country - for example if Manchester United win they take the place as the fifth English side.  

Uefa rules state: 'The UEFA Europa League winners enter in the UEFA Champions League (at a minimum level of the play-offs).
'The UEFA Europa League winners enter in the group stage if the UEFA Champions League winners qualify directly for the UEFA Champions League group stage via their domestic league programme.
