Top 10 African Football Stars 2016 Calendar Year In Europe.

There have been pretty much outstanding performance and achievements of African players in Europe for 2016 calendar year. Their achievement and performance were look into both in club and country for the 2016 calendar year.

PUNDIT SPORT did a survey base on some statistics and brings to you those African Players among many others in Europe who have made major contribution at the level they are currently playing and those that have played in another club still in this 2016 calendar year, we honor them and rate them for their qualities and contribution to their club and country.

10. ALEX IWOBI      (Arsenal and Nigeria)
      The Nigeria international wh broke into Arsenal's first team after a brilliant performance early 2016 in the champions league round of 16 second leg game against Barcelona at the Camp Nuo. Iwobi has now made six champions league appearances for the Gunners and scored his first ever Champions League goal in the 4-1 win over FC Basel
Iwobi also broke into the National team of Nigeria 'The Super Eagle'and his performance was outstanding in their two world cup qualification matches against Zambia and Algeria as he help them to secure six points in two matches to top their group.

9. HAKIM ZIYECH     (FC Twente/Ajax Amsterdam and Morocco)
   The Dutch-born Morocco internationa has been firing up th Eredivise with his goals and also started his national team career with the north African country side[Morocco] on a positive note. Ziyech who is an attacking midfielder moved from FC Twente to Ajax Amsterdam in the last transfer window having netted 17 times last season and have already eight goals for Ajax this going campaign. He have five goals in his last four appearance for Morocco, he is recently known as penalty specialist in his country as he have scored four in last four penalty taken for Morocco.

8. VICTOR MOSES    ( Chelsea and Nigeria)
    Moses in the begining of 2016 was no where to be in Chelsea's squad playing team but later prove himself under new manager Antonio Conter. He has been outstanding this season for the Blues and he is one man that hold his right wing position firm to threatened opposition defence  as he contribute fine to the success of the manager's new unbeaten formation in the Premier League so far.
Victor Moses played a big role in Nigeria's world cup qualifier match against Algeria and scored 2 good goals in a 3-1 win over Algerian team in Godswill Akpabio National stadium in Uyo the Capital of Akwa Ibom state.

7. ERIC BAILLY    (Villareal/Manchester United and Cote d'Ivoire)
     Baily has emerged among the leading defenders in Europe over the past 12 months, he started the year at Spanish La Liga side Villareal before moving to Old Trafford in the last transfer window. Bailly at the begining of the season for Jose Mourinho's team was an outstanding defender that added strong pairing to United defence line and got himself some man-of-the-match personal award before he got injured and now trying to make his way back from injury. He also helped his national team side Cote d'Ivoire to the African Nations cup finals in Gabon.

6. KELECHI IHEANACHO    (Manchester City and Nigeria)
   Iheanacho is a Nigerian youngster who has made excellent progress in 2016 most especially in the Nigeria National team side. It is a tough for any young player to break through a club with the quality of stars like Manchester City, but Iheanacho did well under former coach Manuel Pellegrini and continue his good form under new coach Pep Guardiola.
Iheanacho have 19 goals in the calendar year for both club and country, including four in six game for the Super Eagles.

5. DRISSA GANA GUEYE       ( Aston Villa/Everton and Senegal)
    Gueye was relegated with Aston Villa at the end of the 2015-16 Premier League but that was certainly no fault of his own. No African player made more tackles or interceptions in Europe's top five leagues than Gueye in the 2015/16 season, he has 140 interceptions and 108 tackles won.
Everton signed Gueye from Aston Villa at the transfer window and he continued from his fine form over the previous season to this season campaign so far for the Tofees and he's currently the top player with most tackles in the Premier League so far in this campaign and also got the man-of-the-match award against Manchester United.
Gueye has made a total of 7 appearances for Senegal national team in 2016 calendar year.

4. SADIO MANE        (Southampton/Liverpool and Senegal)
   Mane played very well at the begining of the year for Southampton before moving to Anfield and has taken his trickery and quick feet to Liverpool, he jet straight into Jurgen Klopp's first team and have been so good for Liverpool in 2016.
Mane have scored eight goals in sixteen appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League and made seven appearances for his home country Senegal in 2016 and scored two goals.

3. MOHAMMED SALAH         ( AS Roma and Egypt )
    Salah was on loan at Serie A side Roma from Chelsea and later made it a permanent deal after his contribution to the Italian club was good. Salah have contributed excellently to the forward of his club and have scored eight league goals in fourteen appearances for the Italian side.
Salah helped his home country Egypt to be back to African Nations cup final since 2010 have recorded FIVE goals in six apearances for Egypt National team in 2016 calendar year and play the major role as they dump the Super Eagles of Nigeria out of the Nations cup qualification.

2.  PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG      (Borussia Dortmund and Gabon)
     Aubameyang continued his fine performance in 2016 from where he stopped and to no surprise hes the leading African best player but 2016 alone is not enough for him to outshine just one person in our top-10. Aubameyang receive his first African best player award in early January and he has scored 34 goals since the start of January till date for his club side alone, including the four goals against Hamburg in the Bundesliga, also helped Dortmund to secure top spot in their Champions league group above defending champions Real Madrid.
Aubameyang has made only four appearances for country side and score two goals.

1. RIYAD MAHREZ        (Leicester City and Algeria)
    Mahrez is arguably the best African player in Europe in 2016 after his good performance at the club level from last season in the English Premier league, he contribute more in terms of goals and assists to Leicester City to help them win their first unbelievable Premier League trophy after loosing just three games out of thirty eight in the league.
Mahrez recently got the BBC African Best player of 2016 and also among the final nominees of the CAF best player award which is scheduled to hold in January in Abuja the capital of Nigeria. He has played in just five appearances for his country side Algeria and have scored two goals in it.
