NPFL Super-4 Tournament.

The Nigeria Professional Football League Super-4 tournament which consist of for teams alone, Rangers, Rivers United, Wiki Tourist and Ifeanyi Ubah, kicked off yesterday  at Enugu town.

Rangers defeated Rivers United by 2-0 score-line to top the group while in the other match played Wikki Tourist defeated Ifeanyi Ubah by 2-1 score-line.
Chisom Egbuchulam scored the two goals for Rangers in the second half of the game. The striker who won the Player of the Year at the Nigerian Sport Award score the first goal in the 64th minute and ten minutes after he added to his goal to secure a comfortable win for The Flying Antelopes.

Nigerian U-20 star Obinna Nwobodo was missed the game as Rangers struggled in the midfield to keep the possession and they were kept till 29th minute to have their first attempt as Gabrial Olalekan, Festus Austile and Aliassou Sannou of Rivers United were solid and combatant at the defence line.
Rangers look better in the second half after they bring on Charlse Henlong to win the ball for them more in the midfield as they dominate the game going. In the 64th minute, Egbuchulam announced himself as he got the ball from teammate Godwin Aguda and unleashed a good strike at the opponent goal post that broke the deadlock and raise the crowd on their feet to celebrate the goal. Ten minutes later, Egbuchelum double his goal to make the scoreline 2-0 as they continue to press on for the third goal.

Rivers United try to get back into the game as they were awarded a penalty in the 76th minute but Rangers goalkeeper Nana Bonsu was on his feet to stop the ball from getting into his own net as he keep clean sheet due to the poor penalty-kick taken by Ojobo.

In the other game, IFEANYI UBAH  lost to Wikki Tourist by 2-1 scoreline.

Abdullahi Musa scored the last kick of the game as Wikki Tourists of Bauchi recorded a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over ten-man FC IfeanyiUbah.
Musa capitalized on a sloppy piece of defending by IfeanyiUbah's side deep into stoppage time to strike home Richard Jonathan's corner inside the 16-box-yard. The winner came when the game was closed to end all square after Wikki's Shammah Tanze restored parity for his side with seven minutes left on the clock to cancel out Yaya Kone's opener for IfeanyiUbah FC.
