SAMUEL ETO'O COULD GO OVER TEN YEARS IN JAIL AND FINED HUGE AMOUNT

Samuel Eto'O Has Been Charged With Alleged Tax Crimes While At Spain In Barcelona.



Samuel Eto'o could face jail sentence over ten years according to a Spanish newspaper.

Spanish prosecutors are seeking a prison term of more than 10 years for former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o for alleged tax crimes commited when he played for Barcelona.
Prosecutors are also demanding a fine of £12million for the four counts of tax fraud for supposedly defrauding spain's tax authority of almost £3.2million from 2006-09.

The former four-times African footballer of the year played 198 times for Barcelona between 2004 and 2009, scoring 129 times for the Catalan.
He lifted the Champions League twice and three La Liga trophy before moving to Inter Milan.
In July 2016, Lionel Messi and his father were sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax fraud, although they were not sent to jail because sentences of less than two years for first offences are usually suspended according to Spanish law.
