PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH-DAY 12 SUMMARY ROUND UP AND STANDINGS

Chelsea Climb Top Of The Table After Defeating Middlesbrough To Extand Their Clean-sheet Run To Six.




The English Premier league match-day 12 resumed on Saturday from a week International duty as the kick off match was played at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Arsenal. 
Here we bring you the summary of matches that were played on Saturday and Sunday as we await the last match of the week to be decided between West Bromwich Albion and Burnley at the Hawthorns Stadium on Monday Night.


Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal
Old Trafford is the venue that host the early kick off rivalry between Man United and Arsenal.
Arsenal were in possession of the game in early first half but Jose Mourinho's men were fast to recover and balance the game to end the first half with a goaless score.

In the Second half United  were the better team and look to win the game when a fine display by the most expensive player Paul Pogba took the run from right in a build up that set Juan Mata to open the scoring aand give United a deserving lead. 
Arsene Wenger made changes which result to a super sub when he brought in Olivier Giroud and Oxlade Chamberline who set up the french man in the 89th minute as Giroud level the score line and hand the away team a share point.

Everton 1-1 Swansea
Ronald Koeman men were left late to earn a home draw in the hand of relegation battling Swansea after an 89th minute equaliser goal from Everton defender Seamus Coleman rescue the team.
Phil Jagielka commit a foul in the 41st minute and the referee point to the penalty spot which give the visitors the lead from Gylfi Sigurdsson taken.
Romelu Lukaku failed to deliver all through the game as the match was settled with a level score line.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 WestHam United
Tottenham Hotspur come back twice to defeat Slaven Billic men at the White Hart Lane. England's Michail Antonio give WestHam the lead in the 24th minute which is enough to give them the deserving lead to gor half-time break. Tottenham begin the second half strongly and were rewarded with an equalising goal in the 51st minute by Harry Winks. Manuel Lanzini score from the spot kick to put back Westham United up in the 68th minute forcing Pochettino to introduce the young playmaker Dele Ali.
Harry Kane's 89th minute goal redeemed Tottenham from getting their first loose in the Premier League this season and a late Penalty was awarded to Tottenham minutes before the end of the game as England striker Harry Kane converted the penalty kick to get himself second goal of the day and third for his side to claim the three point from the match.

Watford 2-1 Leicester City
The defending champion Leicester City were poor on Saturday as they fall to their sixth defeat of the campaign in the hand of Watford.
Etienne Capoue and Roberto Pereyra give a 2-goals lead within 12 minutes of the game before Algerian Playmaker Riyaad Mahrez score from the penalty spot in the 15th minute to reduce the goal margin but not enough for them to level up as the match ended in favor of Walter Mazzarri side.

Southampton 0-0 Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp men were held to a goalless draw at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday. Both side failed to capitalise chances created in the match as Liverpool suffer it most by dropping from the top spot on the table.

Stoke City 0-1 AFC Bournemouth
Mark Hughes'men got a shocked defeat in the hand of Bournemouth at the BET365 Stadium on Saturday when Nathan Ake score the only goal of the encounter in the 24th minute.
Stoke City were awarded a penalty in the early second half but Bojan Krkic failed to convert it.

Sunderland 3-0 Hull City
Victor Anichebe was the hero of the day as he score twice in the second half to hand David Moyes'side second win of the season and move up one step in position from 20th to 19th on the table.
Jermain Defoe open the scoring in the 34th minute before the Nigerian man Victor Anichebe got the second and third in the 62nd and 84th minute respectively to give the home fans a happy day.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester City
Ivorian Star and Former African Best player Yaya Toure start for Pep Guadiola and was name the Man of the match as he score twice to hand City away win against Alan Pardew side.
Yaya Toure score his first goal of the season in the 39th minute and  Connor Wickham equalize in the 66th minute before Toure score the second and winning goal in the 83rd minute. Yaya who has been dropped from City squad since beginning of the campaign now prove himself to his coach after a good display over the weekend to impress the coach and the fans in all angle.

Vincent Kompany was relaced in the 37th minute for injury problem after he just recovered from another injury,


Middlesbrough 0-1 Chelsea
Chelsea climb the top of the table after a hard fought win over Middlesbrough on Sunday evening at the Riverside Stadium. Thanks to Diego Costa's only goal four minutes before end of first half.
Earlier before the goal, Pedro forced his former teammate and country man Victor Valdes a fantatstic save to deny Conte's men the lead in that minute.
Chelsea are now on six matches winning and clean sheet run.

Westbromwich Albion vs Burnley
Westbrom will welcome Sam Vokes men at The Hawthorns stadium on Monday night for the remaining game of the Match-Week 12.
