Super Eagles Defeat Former Africa Number One Team On FIFA Ranking In Russia 2018 World Cup Qulifier.

Nigeria's Super Eagles on Saturday defeated Northern Africans Algeria in their group B world cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio National Stadium in Uyo the capital of Akwa Ibom State.

An in-form Chelsea star Victor Moses got the opening goal for Gernot Rohr men in the 26th minute after a fine drive in from the right side of the Algerians half, a little confusion from the Algerians defence saw moses got the ball on his right leg and play in a fine strike to send the Algerian keeper side way.

Super Eagle of Nigeria dominated very well in the first 45 minutes and soon before the break, another Chelsea player and captain of the Super Eagle Mikel Obi was clearly ON-Side when he got a pass from teammate Etebo  and hurriedly play the ball into the net of the Algerian to give Nigeria the second goal of the day three minutes before the half time.

The Algerians come back strongly in the second half and force a goal back in the game after a fine Drible play from the Leicester City's play maker Riyad Mahrez who release a fine pass to his teammate Nabil Bentaleb and aa long range shot come from Bentaleb to get a goal back to the Algerians in the 67th minutes.

Nigeria's defence was tested several times by the Algerians who are pressing much to get the equalising goal and possibly push for a win but a fine counter-attack by the Super Eagles' players came up late in the 92nd minute by another Leicester City's player and vice captain of Nigeria National Teaam, Victor moses was in run at the far post side and Ahmed Musa wisely release the ball to set moses for his second goal of the game and third for Super Eagles. To wrap a win for Gernot Rohr the Super Eagles' coach.

In the other game in group B, Cameroon score from the penalty spot to equalise in the 45th minute after going down by one goal in the 34th minutes courtsey of Zambian Collins Mbesuma to force a 1-1 score line in the match.

Supper Eagles are now sitting clearly at the top of the Group B with 6 points from two games, followed by Cameroon with 2 points while Zambia and Algeria are third and fourth respectively with 1 point each in the group.
