JOSE MOURINHO TO FACE ONE OR MORE MATCH BAN AFTER BEING CHARGED BY FA

Mourinho is charged by FA following his conduct and foul language against official at Burnley game.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct following his sending off against Burnley.

Mourinho could be hit by a touchline ban after being sent off by referee Mark Clattenburg at Old Trafford during Saturday's 0-0 draw.
He was sent to the stands as the teams made their way out for the second half after he was incandescent late in the first half after Matteo Darmain had penalty appeals ignored.

FA STATEMENT READ: "JOSE MOURINHO HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH MISCONDUCT FOLLOWING MANCHESTER UNITED'S GAME AGAINST BURNLEY ON SATURDAY [29 October 2016].
"HE HAS UNTIL 6pm ON 4 November 2016 TO RESPOND TO THE CHARGE"

The penalty for insulting language and/or abusive language is a fine and one-match touchline ban if it is accepted by the manager.

Should Mourinho fail in appealing the charge, he could be given a two-match ban.
