Falconet Defeat Canada In Their Second Game Of The FIFA Womens World Cup In PNG

 The Falconet of Nigeria on Wednesday regain their image with a 3-1 win over Canada in their second match of the FIFA Womens World Cup in Papua New Guinea after a humiliating 6-0 loose to Japan in their opening game.

Gabrielle Carle had fired in the ball at the back of Nigerian net in just 15 minutes of played to give the Canadian side the lead, but an equalizing penalty from Chinaza Uchendu just minutes before the break give back the Falconet relieve to force the game into a balance score to the half time

Joy Bokiri and Chinwendu Ihezuo gave the Falconet a redeemed to the competition after they strike a second-half goals to give Falconets their first win of the tournament and a second round hope to qualify from the group stage.

The Falconets will now face Spain who are currently on top of the Group with six-points from their two matches. While Canada will meet Japan too  on same day 20th November 2016.

The Falconets now have three points from two games and must beat Spain  in their last group-stage  game on Sunday. A match that will see Spain not want to loose to Nigeria so as not to face a dicey qualification decision.

Rahseedat Ajibade won the player of the match award against Canada after she provide a good brighter performance on the pitch to help her side win the game.
