ETISALAT U-15 SCHOOL CUP GOES TO ASEGUN SECONDARY SCHOOL IN OYO STATE

Oyo State Wins Etisalat U-15 Secondary School Cup.

Asegun Comprehensive Secondary School, Ibadan, Oyo State, became the Champions of the third Etisalat U-15 Secondary School Cup tournament by beating Fola Academy, Abuja 4-3 via penalty shoot-out.

FOSLA Academy Abuja and Asegun Comprehensive School on Saturday played at the Mini-Stadium in Lagos State the final of the Etisalat U-15 cup, after the regulation time, both teams scored two goals and go for penalty shoot-out.

Rahseed Qudus of Asegun Secondary School, Oyo give his side the lead in the second half who meet up with a free-kick and converted into the net of the Abuja school by beating the opposition defense and nod the ball into the net.
Fosla Academy leveled the score through Gabriel Adejoh who coiled in a fine free-kick that beat the wall of the Oyo state team and land into the opponent's net. A brilliant equalizing goal forced the crowd at the stadium to give a standing clapped for the scorer.




Rauf Jubril of Asegun Secondary School put his side ahead from a free kick. Few minutes to the end of the match, FOSLA team captain Prosper Ojukwu equalise to send the match into a penalty shoot-out.

Asegun Secondary School were rewarded with a 2Million naira cheque as the prize for being the Champion of the 2016 third Etisalat U-17 competition.

In attendance at the final match venue are Matthew Willsher (The Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Nigeria), Adewunmi Ogunsanya (Lagos State Sport Commisioner), and Mallam Ibrahim Muhammad (President Of Nigeria School Sport Federation NSSF).
