Nigeria Women's football team 'Super Falcons' Defeated Bayana Bayana of South Africa at  AWCON Semi-Final.

Defending Champions Nigeria on Tuesday night defeated South African Women with a 1-0 score line in a semi-final game of the 10th African Women Cup of Nation AWCON at the Stade Omnisports in Limbe Cameroon to advance to the final stage.

Nigeria's Desire Oparanozie score in the 54th minute from a free-kick at the edge of the South African Box, Oparanozie lashed in a thunderous straight shot from the edge of the box and beat pass the South African goalkeeper Andile Dlamini to land in the opposition net and give Coach Florence Omagbemi the final ticket of the tournament.

Falcons took possession of the game in the first forty-five minute of the game, in the 33rd minute, goalscorer Oparanozie played a fine free-kick in a build to give Nigeria the lead needed but effort goes wide to allow the South African women to force the game into 0-0 after first-half.

Ugo Njoku was booked just 11 minutes before the end of the game for an offence on time wasting. Nigerian goalkeeper saved the Falcons with her balanced game after Njoku wrongly nod a South African player free-kick backward to force the Falcons goalkeeper Alaba Jonathan for a fine safe.

In the other semi-final game played at Ahmodu Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounded between host nation Caneroon and Black Queens Of Ghananian. Cemroon won the game by a 1-0 score line.

Nigeria will now take on hosts Cameroon in the final match on Saturday. For the second successive tournament, it would be the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the final. In which the Super Falcons defeated Cameroon 2-0 at the last edition of the tournament.

Bayana Bayana of South Africa will take on Balck Queens of Ghana for the third place game scheduled to hold on Friday same venue that will host the final match, the Ahmodu Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
