AFWCON: NIGERIA FALCONS 6--0 MALI... AS ASISAT OSHOLA SCOUR FOUR GOALS

Falcons Defeated Malian Women By Six Goals Margin In Their Opening Game Of The African Women Cup Of Nation in Cameroon.

Defending champions Super Falcons of Nigeria opened their campaign at the 2016 African Women Cup of Nation with a 6-0 victory over west African Rivals, Mali in Cameroon.

Arsenal ladies striker Asisat Oshoala led the falcons'attack and scoring four goals in the encounter after US based Francisca Ordega put the Falcons ahead in the 22nd-minute when she got a fine finish from Ugo Njoku. Five minutes before the end of first half, Oshoala brilliantly connect a through pass, beating round Gundo Samake the Malian goalkeeper and find herself with an empty net to slot in into the net and got Nigeria's second goal. 
Falcons were 2 goals up lead to end the first half of the game.

Two minutes into the second half, Osarenoma Igbinovia was brought down in the Malian box and a penalty was given to the Falcons, Uchechi Sunday got on the ball to take the penalty kick and she scored to make it three for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.




Afterward, it became an Oshoala show. In the 62nd minute, Oshoala receive a header by Chioma Wogu to outrun a defender and the goalkeeper before smashing into the roof of the net to make if four for her team and second for herself.
Oshoala got her hat-trick in the 68th minute after receiving another brilliant pass from Wogu to beat two defenders and leave the Malian goalkeeper helpless as she slot the ball pass her.

Twelve minutes to the end of the game, Asisat Oshoala was involve in a combine brilliant pass from Falcons'captai Rita Chikwelu and then go on to score her fourth goals of the game and sixth for the Falcons.

Asisat Oshoala was the best player in the encounter.

Super Falcons will face anther West African rival and a stronger opposition side Black queens of Ghana on Wednesday.
