ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC TOP THE LIST OF MOST BIG CHANCES MISSED THIS SEASON SO FAR IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has missed more big chances this season than any other player.

OPTA keeps records of every "big chance" that is either missed or scored in a football match. Here is there definition of 'BIG CHANCE':

"The big chance category is when you expect the player to score, regardless if it is assisted or not. So for example, a defender could pass the ball to the striker, the striker goes through on goal and blazes over, that would be a big chance missed.
Further to this, a big chance will always be a shot. It's a qualifier for a shot, so if someone goes clear on goal and technically it's a good chance but they don't get a shot away then it doesn't get a big chance qualifier (as there was no shot).

In this case, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has missed more 'big chances' than any other player in the ENTIRE division.

Zlatan has scored four Premier League goals in his eight appearances so far, and he has also missed SIX BIG CHANCES as recorded by Opta.

In fairnes to United striker, there are plenty of other big names that have missed big chances too as listed by Opta record. The likes of Arsenal's winger 'Theo Walcott (5)', Everton striker 'Romelu Lukaku (4)',  Manchester United record signing and most expensive player in Europe 'Paul Pogba (3)', Watford Striker 'Ighalo (3)' and the champions main man Vardy (3) among others.
