BALOTELLI SCORE A LATE WINNER FOR NICE AND GET SENT OFF MINUTES LATER.

Mari Balotelli scores a late winner for Nice - but is SENT OFF six minutes later for two quick cautions.

Balotelli was sent off for Nice just minutes after scoring the winner in their win over Lorient to top the Ligue-1 table.

The former Liverpool man smashed the ball into the top corner in the 86th minute to send his side to the top of the Ligue-1 table ahead of Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

Balotelly cut inside from the left-side of the box and rifled home an effort from 18 yards to net his sixth goal in five matches for Nice.
But that happened to be the start of his downfall in the match.
He was cautioned for taking off his shirt in the celebration of his strike and was given his marching orders just minutes later.

As the game edged into stoppage time, he was involved in an altercation with Lorient defender Steven Moreira, that earn both men a yellow card making second yellow for Balotelli and result to sending off from the match.

Mario Balotelli was given a standing ovation by the Nice supporters as he walk down to the sidelines.

Earlier in the match, Nice were given the lead by Ricardo, but they were level back by Benjamin Moukandjo's effort on the hour mark.

Balotelli's winner leaves Nice one point above Monaco at the top of the standings and four ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
