Meet The 37 Chelsea Players On Loan...Who Are They and Where They've Gone?

Chelsea is the leading club in Premier League with maximum number of players outside the club having sent 37 players out on loan.
Many of the players on loan are yet to make their first-team debuts for Chelsea and in some cases, it's doubtful that they ever will.

Below are the Stamford Bridge loanees, where they've gone and when, if indeed at all, they will be coming back.



1. Tammy Abraham (Bristol City):
The 18-year-old striker is on loan at Ashton Gate this season and has made a fine start to his spell there, scoring six goals in seven appearances so far. Abraham has made just two Premier League appearances for Chelsea.

2. Nathan Ake (Bournemouth)
The 21-year-old Dutchman joined Chelsea in 2012 but has made just a handful of first-team appearances.
He is on loan with Bournemouth for the rest of the season, his third temporary spell away from Stamford Bridge in two years. He played for Reading and Watford last term.

3. Bekanty Victorien Angban (Granada):
Angban joined Chelsea last season from Stade d'Abidjan in his native Ivory Coast.
He is yet to make a single appearance for the Blues and spent last season on loan at Sint-Truiden. The midfielder will spend this campaign at Granada.

4. Christian Atsu (Newcastle):
The 24-year-old Ghananian international winger burst unto the scene with FC Porto in 2011 and via a loan spell at Rio Ave, was snaped up by Chelsea for £3million two years later.
He has 42 senior cap for his country but has never played for Chelsea. This term he'll be part of Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez's promotion push in the Championship.

5. Lewis Baker (Vitesse Arnhem):
Baker, 21, has a single cup appearance for Chelsea to his name. Beyond that, however, he only has experience on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons and Vitesse.
He scored five goals in 34 games for Vitesse last term and the Dutch side have opted to extend his stay there.

6. Patrick Bamford (Burnley):
The 22-year-old forward has never played for Chelsea but has just joined the seventh club of his career.
Bamford was a prolific marksman while on loan at Middlesbrough in the 2014-15 season and will be hoping to rekindle that form with the Clarets now.

7. Nathan Baxter (Metropolitan Police):
FA Cup-winning goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has joined Ryan Premier League Division side Metropolitan Police FC until January 15.

8. Mitchell Beeney (Crawley Town):
Goalkeeper Beeney is on loan at Crawley Town until January 3. The 20-year-old Leeds-born shot stopper previously had a spell at Newport County.

9. Jamal Blackman (Wycombe):
Goalkeeper Blackman, 22, is on loan at Wycombe until January 3. The 22-year-old played 12 games for Osterunds Fotbollsklubb in Sweden earlier this year.

10. Jeremie Boga (Granada):
France Under 19 midfielder Boga is on his second full loan deal in as many seasons after having turned out for Stade Rennais last term.

11. Isaiah Brown (Rotherham):
Brown, signed from West Brom in 2013, is tipped for a bright future at Chelsea and starred in two FA Youth Cup wins for the club.
He is some distance from the first-team, though, and will spend this season on loan at Rotherham.

12. Andreas Christensen (Borussia Monchengladbach):
The Denmark international left back appeared once for Chelsea in the Premier League before being loaned out to Gladbach.
He was named the German club’s Player of the Season last year and they have extended his deal this term.

13. Alex Davey (Crawley):
The 21-year-old defender is now on to his fourth loan club following spells at Scunthorpe, Peterborough and Stabaek in Norway. He’ll be back at Stamford Bridge, in theory, on January 3.

14. Matej Delac (Royal Excel Mouscron):
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, a former Croatia Under 21 international, is on loan at Mouscron in Belgium for the season.

15. Islam Feruz (Royal Excel Mouscron):
The Somalia-born striker, who has elected to play international football with Scotland via his naturalisation, is on his third loan in two years.

16. Jake Clarke-Salter (Bristol Rovers):
The defender was Chelsea’s Under 18s captain and a played key role in their FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League triumphs. He’ll spend the season with Bristol Rovers.

17. Dion Conroy (Aldershot):
The defender is set for a brief loan spell at Aldershot and will return on January 15.

18. Juan Cuadrado (Juventus):
The Colombia international winger signed for Chelsea for £23m in 2015 but failed to adapt to English football. He is on loan at Juventus until 2019.

19. Christian Cuevas (Sint-Truidense):
The Chilean defender is on a full season loan at Sint-Truidense.

20. Michael Hector (Eintract Frankfurt):
Boyhood Chelsea fan Michael Hector realised his dream last summer by signing for the club from Reading.
He is yet to make his first-team bow, however, and is now on loan at Eintract Frankfurt.

21. ordan Houghton (Doncaster Rovers):
The midfielder is on loan at Doncaster until January 3. Houghton has not played for Chelsea but has experience on loan at Gillingham and Plymouth.

22. Tomas Kalas (Fulham):
The Czech Republic international defender, 23, has two Premier League appearances for Chelsea under his belt, but is now into his seventh spell away on loan.
He has played a key role in Fulham’s unbeaten start to the Championship season.

23. Kenedy (Watford):
The Brazilian winger made 20 appearances and scored two goals for the Blues last season.
He’ll spend this term on loan at Watford in search of more regular first-team football.

24. Alex Kiwomya (Crewe):
The 20-year-old forward has scored three goals in four League Two appearances for Crewe so far. He’ll return to west London on January 9.

25. Matt Miazga (Vitesse Arnhem)
The USA international centre back was bought in January from New York Red Bulls for £3.5m, touted as a potential long-term successor to John Terry.
He’s only played two games for the Blues so far and will look to further his development at Vitesse this season.

26. Charly Musonda (Real Betis)
The Belgium Under 21 midfielder impressed during a half-season loan at Real Betis last season and the Spanish side have extended the deal for the entirety of the new campaign.

27. Nathan (Vitesse Arnhem)
The Brazil Under 20 striker is into the second season of his two-season loan spell in the Eredivisie

28. Kenneth Omeruo ( Alanyaspor )
The 22-year-old Nigeria international defender is spending the season in Turkey withm Alanyaspor.

29. Kasey Palmer (Huddersfield)
The 19-year-old midfielder has played four of Huddersfield’s five Championship games so far this season, scoring one goal.
The Terrirers find themselves unexpectedly top of the table.

30. Danilo Pantic (Excelsior)
The Serbian midfielder, 19, is spending the full season in the Netherlands with Excelsior.

31. Mario Pasalic (AC Milan)
The Croatia international playmaker, who has two senior caps, impressed while on loan at Monaco last season and has now moved to Serie A giants AC Milan.

32. Lucas Piazon (Fulham)
The Brazilian joined Chelsea in 2012 and has since been loaned out to Malaga, Vitesse, Eitracht Frankfurt, Reading and now Fulham.

33. Baba Rahman (Schalke)
Ghana left back Rahman cost Chelesa £22m but even that doesn’t grant him immunity from the club’s clearout.
The former Augsburg defender is back in Germany with Schalke this season.

34. Loic Remy (Crystal Palace)
Remy signed for Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers for £10.5m but never seemed to be able to shake his ‘back-up’ tag.
The Frenchman has moved to Crystal Palace on loan, where he will link up with manager Alan Pardew, with whom he worked during the 2014-15 season at Newcastle.

35. Joao Rodriguez (Independiente Santa Fe)
The Colombia Under 20 forward joined Chelsea in 2013 but is yet to make a first-team appearance.
After two loan spells on loan in Europe, he’s now back in his homeland with Independiente Santa Fe.

36. Bertrand Traore (Ajax)
Burkina Faso international winger Traore joined Chelsea in 2014 from Vitesse. He was laned back for the 2014-15 season and was hugely successful, scoring 17 goals.
He scored four in 16 games for the Blues the following campaign. He’s now back on loan at Ajax.

37. Wallace (Gremio)
The 22-year-old Brazilian left back is on loan at Gremio in his homeland until june 2017.
